misterteacher.com was originally developed
back in 2002 by Jamie Tubbs as a classroom site so I could publish my
students' work to the web. I thought this would be a cool way to motivate
them to be better writers. A few years later blogs and wikis made publishing
student work much easier so I jumped on the bandwagon and, no longer needing
this site for my classroom, had to decide what to do with it. I noticed
that some of the pages that I had created for my students were getting
a little bit of traffic so I decided to turn misterteacher.com into a
website for teachers. I discovered a little while ago that the Flash movies
that I have been making can be downloaded and inserted into a SmartBoard
Notebook file. With this discovery, I decided on to start creating what
I call interactive whiteboard mini-movies and offering them to teachers
along with all the other resources, free of charge. New for the school
year 2010 are Whiteboard Teacher Packs--collections of printable worksheets
and teacher guides full of ideas for using the mini-movies in your classroom.
Interactive Whiteboard Mini-Movies are Flash animations designed to be used on a number of interactive whiteboards including: SMARTBoard, Mimio, Hitachi, Promethean, and any other whiteboard where you can insert a Flash file.
