You can use this bar graph to learn how to:

  • Match a set of data with a graph of the data.
  • Make and read a table and a bar graph with your own data.
  • Identify different categories for sorting data.
  • Answer questions about the number of objects in a bar graph and table:
    • How many more...?
    • How many altogether?

Directions:

1. Enter a type of pet (dog, for example).

2. Enter a quantity (an amount between 1 and 100).

3. Click ADD and your pet and its quantity will appear in the table.

4. Continue adding pets (you can only add 7). Click DONE when you have entered them all.

5. The pet categories will appear on the bottom of the graph with a small bar over them. Drag the bars to the correct heights and press CHECK to see if you were correct.
